This is a creature constructed as a GURPS creature that took part in the Lest Dispelled Golarion campaign. It is a conversion from Pathfinder SRD content and was generated as a random aquatic/shore encounter.

Background

Description

This grotesque mass of blubber and rancid flesh piles up hideously upon itself, opening a vast maw filled with teeth. 1

Appearances

This particular creature appeared in the Lest Dispelled Golarion GURPS campaign I was running when the PCs were forced off coastal waters and onto the Varisian coast by an unnamed storm demon. Their unfortunate run-in with this creature was met with very little joyous celebration.

Why They Are Cool

This creature is tactically incredibly difficult to deal with, as are the Dungeons & Dragons equivalent. Their practical immunity to a large number of common damage types, as well as their dilution of a central point of HP to several component pieces, renders them very capable of being a nuisance.

Why They Missed the Spot

The creature was possibly too capable of withstanding great injury. The only way the PCs were capable of handling the creature was with the use of area of effect fire magic. Others in the party were not entirely capable of even damaging the target.

Ooze

The Ooze subtype uses a template I have adapted from multiple sources. Intended to be a common nuisance and creature for Dungeons & Dragons PCs to fight, I have attempted to remodel them in a more realistic manner that involves basing their body on amoebic movement.
