I have decided to seamlessly integrate try integrating Called Shots into the Rise of the Runelords campaign I am running. In order to better accommodate this, I’ve decided to take inspiration from GURPS and flesh out a random hit location table based on the body parts identified in Ultimate Combat and using 3d6 as a random roll.
d6 | Location | Difficulty |
---|---|---|
| Ear | Challenging |
| Eye | Challenging |
| Neck | Challenging |
| Head | Tricky |
| Leg | Easy |
| Chest | Easy |
| Chest | Easy |
| Chest | Easy |
| Arm | Easy |
| Arm | Easy |
| Leg | Easy |
| Hand | Tricky |
| Hand | Tricky |
| Head | Tricky |
| Vitals | Challenging |
| Heart | Challenging |
Whenever an attack hits an enemy, this table will be referred to. Players or enemies can deliberately target a certain part and take the appropriate penalty as usual.
The vitals are smaller than the head? I guess that they are about the same size, and the head just tend to be more in the way.
