   3. Problem #7, and
   4. Problem #8

Notes

Note that some of the questions may be ambigous. You must state any assumptions you make in your answer.

For traceroute you may use:

• tracert on Windows systems,
• traceroute on Unix systems, or
• traceroute.org on the 'net

A formula for standard deviation is:

• the square root of
  • the sum of the squares of
    • each data point minus the average of the data points
  • divided by the number of data points
