My research interest is in using technology to improve quality of life for people with mobility disorders ranging from stroke to limb deficiency to chronic pain. I am currently analyzing MRI data from spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) patients from around the world to better understand how grey and white matter thinning progress in different types of SCA.

Faezeh bubble Faezeh Moradi PhD CS (2021)
My project aims to find sparse probabilistic graphical models for rs-fMRI data to investigate the interactions between brain regions and to identify fMRI biomarkers that informs about the stage of neurodegenerative diseases. Hence, I am using Gaussian Markov Networks to build a functional connectivity network that captures conditional dependencies between brain regions.

betsy bubble Betsy McCord MCS (2023)
The precise extent of the neurological damage caused by the COVID-19 virus remain unclear. Therefore, my project aims to develop an integrated approach that applies machine learning for the analysis of neuroimaging data and neurocognitive assessments to characterize the neurological damage and cognitive impairments experienced by long COVID patients.

yao bubble Yao Li MCS (2024)
I am working on developing a neurodevelopment toolbox. This project aims to provide a comprehensive set of analytical functionalities tailored to support developmental research, allowing for in-depth investigations into the dynamic changes that occur in the human brain during its early stages and throughout its development.

bei bubble Bei Ni Tan MCS (2024)
Dedicated to advancing the application of neuroimaging techniques in the field of neuroscience. I will use machine learning and statistical models to find fMRI biomarkers in mental disorders.

mayank bubble Mayank Ramchandani Research Assistant (2024)
My research interest is on using neuroimaging (particularly fMRI) to help diagnose clinical populations by identifying the biomarkers involved on specific conditions, which can lead to better treatment outcomes in patients
