A Note About The Value of WWW Links

I don't think it was news to many people that links on the WWW are a form of currency, even before blogshares.com began trading fictional dollars for blogs. The more webpages link to a blog the more it is worth.

(None of these ideas are original to me. Cathy Marshall talked about them long ago. Jill Walker wrote about them brilliantly. Others may have preceded them too.)
