Dr. Nur zincir-Heywood

I am a professor in the Faculty of Computer Science Dalhousie University in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I am interested in designing and developing autonomous and intelligent systems for modeling and analyzing user behaviours on our applications, services and networks.

There are interesting conferences and workshops I’m involved with organizing: IEEE AnNet‘2017, ACM SecDef‘2017, and GECCO‘2017 Tutorial on Network Management and Security

And Journal Special Issues on which I’m a Guest Editor: CFP for IEEE TNSM, Wiley IJNM

What a great time we had at our first “Dal FCS Hands on Security Day”! Thanks a lot to 2Keys and Cisco for sponsoring our event on December 16, 2016! And of course, thanks a lot to all of our students who made it a day of fun with great detective work :-)

Thanks to everyone who attended the “Big Dream” screening event. We had a packed house :-)

Did you see our story on “RED VS. BLUE: CS STUDENTS COMPETE IN CYBER‑SECURITY SHOWDOWN”? Check it out here!

It was an honour and a big pleasure for me to give the Fall 2014 Convocation Address (Oct 6th @ 9:30 AM) this year! Congratulations to all the graduands and their family & friends!

Our research was also covered in the Computer Science Magazine!
