I'm Nilay and I'm

I am currently a 3rd-Year Applied Computer Science student at Dalhousie University. I am passionate about technology and I am always eager to learn new things and technologies. I'm a positive person and motivated to work hard to pursue my goals. I always love challenges and studying Computer Science has enabled me to think differently and sharpen my problem-solving skills. I want to bring about a change in the society with the help of technology. I am interested in the fields of software and web development, computer networking and cybersecurity. I am a lifelong learner and I try to continuously learn new technologies to improve my skill set. Other than that, I am open-minded, adaptive and very optimistic as a person. My hobbies include gaming, playing football, building computers, coding and I love to travel a lot as well.

My technical skills & experiences.

Learning is a never ending journey for me. I love to learn new technologies and programming languages. I have proficiency in Java as my language of choice. I am also skilled in front-end web development technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Currently, I am learning back-end development technologies like PHP and frameworks/libraries including Node.js and Express.js. I am also interested to improve my skills in Python programming and learn React.js to enrich my skill stack. I know database technologies such as MySQL and I am learning non-relational databases using MongoDB. I am familiar with version-control systems like Git and I also practice Data Structures and Algorithms to be proficient in my skills. Other than programming languages, I have good experience in Computer Networking, IT Support and System Administration.
