Criteria for funding continuation of scholarship students under MACS/MCS program
- Mechanism: the following will be employed:
- A student must maintain an A- average in the courses used to cover the breadth requirement;
- A student must complete the breadth requirement within the first two terms
(Unless approved by the candidate's supervisor);
- An F in any course disqualifies the student from further funding;
- Course grades as a whole should maintain an average of A-;
- Should the above criteria not be met, then a review of the student's progress by the graduate committee
can be initiated, which may result in discontinued or reduced funding and/or a recommendation for additional
evaluation.
- Note: Transfer from MACS to MCS programs requires a GPA of 3.7 (A-) across the breadth requirement.
