Welcome to STAT2450!January 5, 2016

Welcome to the first class of STAT2450! This course gives a broad introduction to data mining and the R programming language. This course focuses on both theoretical and applied concepts in data mining.

By the end of this course, students should be able to apply various data mining algorithms and data manipulation strategies using the R programming language. In this course, no prior programming or data mining skills are assumed but some analytical reasoning ability will be needed.
