MEC Internship Proposal

Internship Proposal. Before starting the internship, the student should submit an internship proposal, which needs to be approved by the electronic commerce committee prior to the start of the internship. Retroactive approval of a work-term as internship is not possible. If an internship is found through the Computer Science Co-op Office, the internship proposal approval is not necessary, but the student should still provide information about the internship to the program director.

The Internship proposal should include:

  • Internship proposal document, including details such as: position title; employer name, address, and web address; employer supervisor's name, email address, and phone number; time period of the internship with sufficient details to confirm a minimum of 455 hours of internship work, description of duties, explanation of how the internship is relevant to e-commerce, and expected knowledge and experience to be learned during the intership; and
  • A letter from the employer confirming the internship.
A sample of an internship proposal is provided in PDF format.

The interhsip proposal should be sent by email to the MEC Director (Vlado Keselj, vlado@dnlp.ca). Please make sure that the following requirements are satisfied:
