Course Description:
The primary objective of this course is to give students an
understanding of how to design and to plan computer networks and
components of network management. It further examines how managers can
strategically use network management to capture and deliver knowledge more
efficiently and to create a competitive advantage.

Resources:
- Open source network simulators, traffic analyzers,
generators and tools related to network operations, such as:
- Robert S. Cahn; Wide Area Network Design; Morgan Kaufmann,
ISBN 1558604588 (optional) will be used for introducing network
desing concepts.
- In addition, the course will be supplemented with material
from conferences and journals, to be provided by the instructor or
available on the Web, as required.>
