Summary
The following weekly goals were identified last week:

1. Test systrace on RedHat and ensure its proper usage: After Systrace was properly installed, a problem was encountered. About half the week was dedicated to identifying this problem, and its solution, if any. In conclusion, the IDS can not be properly paired with any of the four applications previously used in experimentation. In presence of this problem, four plans of action were designed:

Plan A: Install Systrace on a RedHat Linux 6.2
Plan B: Identify another application with a known vulnerability that could be exploited
Plan C: Identify another IDS which could be used during experimentation
Plan D: Change research direction

Upon closing of the week, Plan A was exhausted and it was decided that we would try Plan B on Monday and Tuesday of next week, and if failed, Plan C for Wednesday and Thursday.

Next Week
identify another application with a known vulnerability and/or identify another IDS
