Timely progress towards the Research Aptitude Defence (RAD) milestone in the PhD program

• A PhD student has until the end of the 6th term in the program to take the Research Aptitude Defence.
• After that, the student is considered not to be making satisfactory progress and therefore Faculty scholarship funding is cut off.
• Extensions/ Restoration of the discontinued funding is by decision of the Graduate Committee on a case-by-case basis.
• Current students in the program with overdue RAD are required to take it by the end of the winter term (30 April 2010).
