From: Chris Maxwell Date: 2011-07-26 The photocopier can scan things to email, and it has been pointed out that it would be worthwhile to give some instruction as to how this is accomplished (as well as publicize that it can be done). Adding Self to Address Book --------------------------- I have not yet made arrangements to get the address book uploaded properly, so for now you will have to add yourself if you want to use this function immediately. Hopefully by the time you are using this function, this will have already been done for you. 1) Click User Tools button, then System Settings, Administrative Tools, Address Book 2) Scroll down to your account name under Frequent button 3) Click on the email tab, click change button, and type in your email address. Click OK 4) Click Exit buttons (in upper right corner) until you are back to the Copier function Scanning -------- 1) Click Scanner button (on the keypad there is Copier, Printer, Scanner, etc.) You will now be constructing an email which will have a PDF attachment of the thing you scan. 2) Choose your name for recipient, or click Manual Entry to type a free-form email address 3) Click Sender button and choose your name as the sender 4) Optionally you can click Subject and enter some text for the subject line, and text for message body. 5) Place item to be scanned in document feeder, or on glass as with photocopying. 6) Click Start button 7) If it was unable to auto-detect original size, you will have to click on the Scan Settings button, and choose the size manually. 8) If adding more pages, put new page in, and click Start again. 9) After last page, click the # button It will put up a "Processing" message in the bottom left corner briefly, after which it is done. Go to you email box to find your scans. Single Multipage pdf file generation ------------------------------------- The photocopier can create a single multi-page pdf file if you use the document feeder. You push # when you have scanned the last original, at which point it sends it out.
