Today the first test flight of the new Airbus A380 commercial jetliner took place — successfully. This thing is huge. It has two full passenger decks and many other incredible features. Apparently Singapore Airlines will be the first to fly it commercially in 2006 — but unfortunately I didn't see Air Canada down as a customer at this point. In fact the only North American customers that I noticed were FedEx and UPS. In any case it is worth a look if you are at all interested in avionics or air travel in general.
