IBM is raising the bar on processor speeds with their new server line running at 6 GHz in the lab. They are also going multi-core which is the trend these days and as it says in the article, they are turning both knobs (frequency and cores) at once.

This video from Jeff Han takes it to the next level of multiple simultaneous inputs. I've done research on this topic, but nothing I found at the time was this far along.
