About Me

I am a PhD student in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie Unversity. My supervisors are Dr. Yannick Marchand and Dr. Vlado Keselj. My research interests are in Compuational Linguistics.

I completed my Masters ("Automatic Syllabification in European Languages: A Comparison of Data-driven Methods" [abstract] [pdf] [presentation]) under the same supervisors. An abridged version of the results of this work is available here.

I completed my BCS degree through the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick. During my studies there, I worked with Dr. Bruce Spencer and Sandy Liu (both of NRC-IIT) on issues concerning Web Services, Pi-Calculus and Petri Nets.

Although my married name is now Connie Jess, I continue to publish under my maiden name (Connie R. Adsett).
